Delete in the app
- Open BookLove and sign in.
- Tap Profile, then Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- If you own any clubs, choose to hand each one to another member or delete it.
- Confirm. You'll be signed out, and your account will be deleted.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email privacy@booklove.com.au from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Delete my BookLove account". We'll confirm the request with you and complete it within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Deleted: your name, email address, profile photo, favourite genres, all of your notes (private and shared), the reasons you gave for nominations, and your device and notification information.
- Kept without your name: your ratings and past nominations stay in your clubs' history as "Former member", so clubs keep an accurate record of what they've read.
- Clubs you own: handed to the member you choose, or deleted along with their content.
Your data is removed from our live systems within 30 days, and from backups within a further 35 days. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.
